Every ENCORE door is manufactured using quality hot dipped galvanized steel combined with a multi-layered rust protection and finished with a durable exterior polyester topcoat. A unique high pressure heat process insures the EPS insulation core is bonded to both steel surfaces eliminating any air pockets or "potholes" typical with many foam injected products. Each panel is insulated with a 1 3/4" expanded polystyrene core that will provide a stable long term R-Value (8.9) over the life of the product. In its final assembly we use a 2 3/4" solid wood block at each end as support for the end hinges.

Solid wood end stiles also act as an efficient thermal break between interior/exterior steel skins.
